How Does Kent Ultra UV Water Purifier Works?
The Kent Ultra purifies water in three stages that are described as follows:
- Sediment Filter
In this first stage of purification, the sediment filter follows a radial flow pattern for the inlet water. In this mechanism, the water flows through the wall of the filter into its inner core, where Kent’s 5-micron sediment cartridge removes visible particles, chemicals, metallic contaminants as well as dissolved solids from the water. - Activated Carbon Filter
During the second stage of purification, the activated carbon filter extracts free chlorine as well removes organic compounds such as pesticides from the water. Kent carbon filter ensures that the water is 99% free from these organic compounds and chlorine. - UV Filter
In this final stage of purification, an 11 Watt UV lamp plays an important role in killing invisible and harmful microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses and cysts. At the end of this stage, the water becomes pure, safe and drinkable.
