Pureit Copper+ RO+UV+MF Water Purifier
Pureit Copper+ RO+UV+MF Water Purifier Review
More and more brands are now focusing on adding the goodness of Copper to the drinking water.
Prestige introduced Tattva 2.0, a gravity-based water purifier with a Copper water tank. Midea from Carrier launched Midea MWPRU080CL7 RO+UV water purifier with a Copper-enriched tank.
You may have seen the latest TV commercials of Eureka Forbes featuring their trademarked technology Active Copper Maxx. Active Copper Maxx is basically a mineral cartridge that adds Copper and 3 essential minerals like Calcium, Magnesium, and Zinc to the purified water.
But all these copper water purifiers are no match in front of the all-new and advanced Pureit Copper+ RO+UV+MF.
HUL Pureit recently launched an RO water purifier with the goodness of copper.
Pureit Copper+ RO+UV+MF is an advanced 7-stage water purifier that uses a unique Copper Charge Technology.
If you are someone who is currently using a copper vessel to add the goodness of copper in water then you are already aware of all the manual effort.
Unarguably the best RO water purifier in India, Pureit Copper+ eliminates the need for storing water overnight for 8-10 hrs in a copper vessel and the manual effort of cleaning the copper vessel with lemon juice or baking soda to avoid oxidation/discoloration.

Health Benefits of Copper-Enriched Water
The concept of drinking water in a copper vessel is not new. It is something that was always suggested during Ancient times. But now we also have science backing the age-old logic.
Copper-enriched water is known to boost immunity, improve digestion, help fight obesity, and is very beneficial for overall well-being. Copper-enriched water offers several other health benefits, which have been covered in a detailed post on this topic.
You have seen how, during the COVID-19 global pandemic, everyone, from leading medical organizations, and political leaders, to your friends and family are now talking about strengthening your immunity.
A strong immune system is the foundation of a healthy body. One of the amazing health benefits of copper-enriched water is it boosts your immunity.
Feature Review
Copper Charge Technology™
Unlike other copper water purifiers that simply use a copper water tank, Pureit Copper+ RO uses a unique technology based on the electrochemical dissolution of copper in water. It charges RO water with 99.8% pure copper in real-time just before dispensing.
When you press the soft-touch button, for dispensing copper water, the electrochemical reaction adds copper to the water. The most significant advantage of this innovative technology is it’s all automated and highly reliable.
Dual Water Dispensing
This high-end water purifier from Pureit features another unique and very useful feature of dual water dispensing. The purifier features 2 soft-touch buttons: one for dispensing Copper Charged RO water and the other for dispensing normal RO water.
One touch of the soft-touch button dispenses water continuously for 3 minutes. You can stop the flow of water in between by pressing the soft-touch button again and if you need more water, you need to press the button again.
The soft-touch buttons require electricity for dispensing water and if your water purifier is not connected with an inverter then the water in the storage can’t be dispensed. We have seen this limitation in purifiers with similar touch-assisted water dispensing. Keeping this drawback in mind, Pureit has come up with a solution wherein you can install a manual tap.
Depending on the amount of water already ¬filled in the tank, you can dispense normal RO water even without electricity by installing a manual tap by an authorized service technician. However, Copper RO water can be dispensed only with electricity as Copper is added in real-time.
Precise Copper Dosing
The advanced technology makes sure that every glass of water contains the right amount of copper. But if you are using a copper vessel then the amount of copper added to water can depend on several factors like the age and size of the vessel, how long the water is kept in the vessel, and the quality of water.
Drinking 2 litres of copper-charged RO water meets about 30% of the daily Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) for copper (for adults, as guided by the Indian Council of Medical Research, ICMR).
Intelligent Copper Auto-Cleaning
The biggest headache of using a copper vessel is the effort they require, in regular cleaning, to avoid oxidation and discoloration.
Pureit Copper+ RO comes with an advanced feature that automatically cleans the copper. This makes sure every glass of water is always filled with fresh copper-rich water.
7-Stage Purification with RO+UV+MF
Advanced Filter Change Alerts and Auto Shut-off
The advanced filter change alert system alerts you 15 days before the life of Germkill Kit gets over and Auto Shut-off stops water purification if the filter is not changed within time. This assures 100% purity of the water.
Storage and Purification Capacity
It seems Pureit Copper+ has taken the + in its name quite seriously. This is evident when you look at its big 8-litres water storage tank and astonishingly high purification capacity of up to 28 litres per hour.
High storage capacity ensures all-around availability of purified water for your complete family. Talking about the purification capacity, this purifier can easily fill the storage tank thrice in an hour.
Big storage tank and high purification capacity make it an ideal purifier for even big joint families.
Design Review
This water purifier will add the ‘Oomph’ to your beautifully designed modular kitchen. The shiny black color and the beautiful copper shade around the dispensing area lend an ultra-modern look & feel.
The color-changing LED indicators look attractive and keep you well informed. You get all the information about when the tank is full, when the filters need to be replaced, and any fault in the machine.
The dispensing buttons for ‘Copper-enriched’ and ‘Normal RO’ water also change colors to highlight the current state and errors (if any).
The hands-free bottle fill zone is another plus as you do not have to hold the bottle in your hand while it is being filled with purified water.
When you press the button for Copper RO water, the water dispensing zone illuminates beautifully to leave you pleasantly surprised. The effect looks even more beautiful during nighttime or under low light.
If you are someone who has an eye for design then you will surely love this machine.
One look is enough to make you fall in love with this shiny black beast. A prized possession, you can’t resist the temptation to flaunt it.
Water Recovery Rate
Most first-time users of the RO system are not aware of this feature but for us ‘Recovery Rate’ is the most important feature to look at in today’s times.
It tells you about what percentage of the input water is recovered as the purified water. The higher the recovery rate, the lower the wastage of water.
An RO water purifier that has a recovery rate of 25% discards away 75% of the input water as RO waste/reject water and stores only 25% as the purified water.
Barring a few, most RO water purifiers feature a recovery rate of just 20-25%.
Apart from top-of-the-line features, Pureit Copper+ scores high on this front too.
Pureit Copper+ features a high recovery rate of approximately 45%. That is almost double the usual RO purifiers.
Some Things to Consider
The company recommends installing an antiscalant if the TDS of the input water is higher than 1000 PPM. This has to be purchased at extra cost.
If the input water has high iron content then you need to install a separate iron filter. The cost for the same is additional.
Pureit Copper+ RO – Maintenance Costs
As per the brand website, Germkill Kit™ -1 is designed to give approximately 4000 litres of purified water. GKK-1 consists of Pre-Sediment Filter, Mesh Filter, Pre-RO Carbon Filter, and Post-RO Carbon filter.
The price of GKK-1 is somewhere around Rs. 2,500. The brand charges an extra Rs. 300 for delivery & installation. So, the total cost including installation should be around Rs. 2,800.
Germkill Kit™ -2, which consists of a Pre-Sediment Filter, Mesh Filter, Pre-RO Carbon Filter, Post-RO Carbon filter, Copper Module, TDS Modulator, and MF Membrane, is required to be replaced after approximately 8000 litres of purified water.
The price of GKK-2 is around Rs. 3,500 + Rs. 300 for delivery & installation.
Based on the above information, let’s find out the annual maintenance cost for Pureit Copper RO.
For the sake of calculation, let’s assume the daily drinking water requirement of your home is 15 litres.
a. Monthly Drinking Water Requirement: 450 Litres appx.
b. Life of GKK-1: 4,000 litres appx.
c. Life of GKK-2: 8,000 litres appx.
GKK-1 Replacement Cycle (in months): b/a = 9 Months appx.
GKK-2 Replacement Cycle (in months): c/a = 18 Months appx.
This means that you will have to replace GKK-1 twice every 18 months and GKK-2 once every 18 months.
So, the maintenance cost for Pureit Copper RO over a period of 18 months is: Cost of GKK-1 + Cost of GKK-2 = 2800 + 3800 = Rs. 6,600 approximately.
The average annual maintenance cost of Pureit Copper+ is appx. Rs. 4,500.

We have Pureit advanced 23 ltr water filter. Do we need to fill water from the copper vessel into the purifier or do we need to store water from purifier into the copper vessel?
You can store the purified water in the copper vessel. Leave the purified water, preferably overnight, in the copper vessel and drink it in the morning.
